I know the feeling, Jammers5! I've been waiting on mine too. Not quite as long as you, but it seems like forever. It's supposed to be here next week.

Thanks Jason - I have the order placed thru L&M as I am financing the last $1000 that I don't have right at the moment. (Unless some other amps I have up for sale move soon!) So the 7 week wait is necessary! J5

I have a 21 year old son that comes home from college and plugs into the 'Wreck. He kills out Remedy and it is way cool to see him bust up the 'Wreck ' That's a Dream set-up and amp porn to the max. I had to sell Zs for $ but I still have my dream guitars. Selling my guitars would have been impossible to replace but Dr Zs amps are so consistent they are all real close. so when I'm in the $ a Rem will be back and maybe a Z-wreck. Nice set up chetz

Great -- the wait is over! Congrats on the ZW. Too bad about the cover, but you can count on Z to take care of you.
Look forward to your impressions after you've played it a bit more.
One thought: with my Strat, I find three "zones" on the amp's volume control. The first, which runs up to 10-11 o'clock is clean, from there up to about 2 adds overdrive, above that you are flat out rocking. Guitar volume and tone knobs settings will make noticeable differences.

Thanks doctorice - unfortunatley the Z Brake was backordered and I can't get a full appreciation of those settings with kids and wife at home. I can tell you I got it up to 50% volume and was impressed. I have a brother who plays guitar and is very skeptical of these high end amps - he was an electronics repair tech and repaired a lot of tube amps years back, but he thinks that superior tones in these boutiques are all in peoples head. "It's electronics" he' has told me told me by upgrading this and that doesnt make a big difference. After 1 minute of hearing me play thru the Z Wreck he was sold - you should have seen the expression on his face! I do understand now the whole "3D" sound thing I've heard ppl use to describe these amps - they sure do fill a room! J5

I clearly remember you telling us about it, but didn't recall that it was your brother!! At a boy J5 - way to teach the 'ol tech a lesson eh. Congrats again on the purchase. I sure am dearly tempted myself now that it's available as a head only. Cheers Ben

Cheers Ben[/quote] Thanks Ben I am loving the cleans out of this amp - not sure how to describe it's like it "projects" well and it is so crisp yet powerful. I dunno I was never good at describing sounds, I know the sound in my head was never this good! I am gonna tell ya - I tried this head out of curiosity with a greenback loaded 1x12 and it don't sound at all the same. No where near. I was totally shocked by the difference, considering how I likey my greenbacks! Wish I had a V30 to try with it - something tells me it would pair well with a V30. J5

Last time my wife bought a new bedroom set she spent at least as much as a Z Wreck costs. But it still sounds like a good negotiation!

The Quantum Silver finish looks fantastic in the flesh Keith, but if you're really not really not sure about it they make Z Wreck heads in all the other colors and I'm sure they would make a matching cab in any color you choose.

Gizmo, I have the matching Z head & cab combinations covered The intention all along was to get a red one if they came out. However, just can't get there at $2,700 for the head alone (without the upgrades such as hardwood front, covers, etc) knowing that the silver set is only $1,000 more (Hey, even Fat Sound implies the same thing on their website!). So, I've been trying to get there on the silver set...to no avail at this point Oh well, things could be worse Keith
