Hi All, Last night at rehersal we worked a new song that required a cleaner sound from the guitar. When we started writing the song I was playing thru my Maz Jr so cleans were not a problem . . . the Monza on the other hand . . . . I got something very usable last night and it wasn't very hard. I didn't change any settings on my amp at all, I just used my guitar volume knob. It worked out pretty good on this song because the bass and drums were a little softer too so the slight loss of volume wasn't a big deal. After we were done I pointed out to my band mates that I didn't change the amp settings to get the cleaner sound. I rolled open the volume control and there came my growling gain! fun amp, lots of uses! Todd

One might say the Monza has an "exciteable" front end. Putting a little less juice in, aka rolling down the gtr vol, does clean it up. I'm enjoying mine with V @ 9 o'clock running into an efficient, bright, high efficiency EV. Clean to dirt via gtr knob. No pedals, no attenuator. I suppose the cable helps a bit too

V @ 9-10 is a great clean sound. I love being able to dial in my sound with gtr vol. this amp can do a lot more then just "billy in a box" <- but that's not bad
