I have this chandler/BK butler/tube works tube driver. Ive had it for a few years... and im pretty sure eric johnson uses one... i believe he puts it on a piece of carpet or something because it sounds better that way. I used it for the first two years then it was put on the shelf. It has a 12ax7 in it. After I got my Z, i dusted it off and started messing with it. Holy crap, this thing sounds awesome. However... When the pedal is on, there is a hum coming from the pedal, even when its not plugged in to the amp. The pedal even seems to vibrate. If i rotate the pedal side to side and up and down, the amount of hum and vibration changes. It hasnt always done this.... but anyways that is a problem i can deal with. I dont believe that the tube is bad... i have switched it out with several different ones.... all with the same problem. Unfortunately, the pedal is also very noisy. Sometimes the noise is much somewhat bearable... other times it is significantly louder. Anyways i know its a strange problem... but if anyone has an idea as to where i can begin with this pedal, i would greatly appreciate it. here is a picture of it(if it helps at all)

a few things I forgot to metion...
i remember reading somewhere that if i use copper tape to isolate some wires inside, that will help with the noise. Unfortuantely, I cant find the ariticle. If anyone would like me to take a picture of the inside and upload it, i can do so.
