Pretty cool pedal. {TUBE LIGHTS UP RED} pink case , really no overboard sounds . just verb ...........not really for surfers!! dosnt really get there but a real nice spring sounding pedal. very quiet. no noise at all. there are only 4 verbs. classic plate , warm hall ,bright hall , chorus + hall . big knobs you can work it on the gig unlike the verbzilla this is a no frills unit. 4 knobs. mix, level , mode , high cut{ this is to adjust the trail} the level has just enough if you did want to use it as a slight boost but not much. the idea was to be as transparant as possible. its a 12 v pedal and comes with its own power supply that has 4 different plugs for other country's power plugs. it is also stereo and comes with a 2 year warranty. it will sit real nice next to my Replica on my board

Please try it thru your loop on a Z amp and let us know if the volume control has enough boost to get the volume back up to the level of not using the loop.

I own Replica too and I find it a little compressed on high frequencies when turned on, however it's a great pedal with important feature of tap tempo. T-Rex makes serious products and I think Verb's too. The question is: when turned on ver sucks tone or volume or some frequencies to your signal?

Sounds like a winner. Right now I am trying to decide between a stand alone unit and this particular pedal??? Cost is not really an issue here. I would prefer if I could get away with using the T Rex as it fits on my board and is no issue in terms of extra luggage. I also don't do the surf thing. Compared to a stand alone, how does it sound?

I dont think the replica is trying to do a pristine digital type of sound. They seem to have targeted a more tape like goal, and the old tape units DO compress the highs a bit, in a nice way, it's part of that sound. I think they did a really nice job with that delay, and will probably be in the market for a roommate soon!

Well, Replica is a nice pedal, and in delayed notes there is no problem, I like that vintage sound. But direct signal is compressed too and looses some highs....

Oh I see what your saying, The direct signal is obviously not subject to the tru by-pass, and therefore is passing thru the board. I was in a poor listening enviroment, and did not hear any particular loss, but wouldnt argue with ya on that. I'm a simpleton, maybe two, max of three pedals in my chain, and one amp. I would most probably use it in the conventional stompbox fashion of using the combined signal into a single amp input, although the ambience of the split signal would be nice.

FYI-that's an LED behind the tube to make it light up. Not that it matters, according to Analog Mike it's still in the circuit.

Just got it........only had about 20 mins downstairs with it. Sounded really really nice with my z 28. I have owned the holy grail and this thing sounds WAY more convincing. Best part = no annoying hiss, hum etc....... It's been so long without reverb for me. Forgot how much I liked it! It's a winner!
