I have a Mosferatu and have used the Rat and Turbo Rat. For me, the Rats were a little bright. Once you turned the tone control down, the whole EQ got "weird" and I didn't like the sound. But, a lot of people like them, so go figure.
My MOS is a two channel and I like it. It isn't too bright and has a lot of mids, which is good for me since my amp is set clean, with not much for mids. Sounds good at moderate overdrive and very tight and full at high gain. If you get the MOS, don't be afraid to turn up the tone control, it can get dark sounding with the tone below 3:00. Although, once you turn up the tone, it WILL get very bright.

Thanks for your reply. The rat has been drasticly changed over the years. If you have one that is 10 years old or so, they sound much better than the newer versions. Mine is quite old and sounds really fine. Its been my main OD for 20 years. Im looking forward to trying the mosfetaru. It should be here this week. I will let you know what I think. Im not familiar with it being a 2 channel unit, as you put it, however there are a couple of versions available.

I too am interested in hearing how folks like the Mosferatu. I ordered a Zen Drive months ago and still haven't heard a peep about it's status.

Had one, sold it. Actually had it longer than the Zen Drive. It's a higher gain/meaner brother to the Zen. More treble. But it still seemed a little too compressed for my tastes. Good box though, just changed too much what I like in my Z's.
