Hey Guys, I just picked up my first Z, an older Route 66 (interstate badge version), and it sounds great. However, the EF86 tube arrived microphonic. It's the Dario Miniwatt which I hear a lot of people recommending. I am debating either another one of these as a replacement or the JJ EF806. I've had a lot of luck in the past with other JJ tubes, and was curious if the Dario was worth the extra cheese? Also, I had read somewhere that the EF86 tubes are very sensitive to vibrations, and some people suggested not setting your head on the cab due to this? Do you guys have any experience with these tubes going out due to cab viabrations? I have a 2x12 Avatar closed back that I'll be using with the 66 (loaded w/Hellatone 30's) and mostly Lollar P90 pu's. Thanks for any input guys!
Cheers, John

Never had a problem with the Dario in my amp and it rests on a z-best cab. I get to crank it once a week for a few hours at rehearsal every week so if it were a problem, it would've manifested itself in the last 5 years since I got the amp.
YMMV

I'd go NOS for an EF86.

+1 for NOS The Dario seems to be a pretty respected EF-86. I wish there were still a few out there for sale. Mike at KCA has been out for quite a while now.
I've been looking for a replacement EF-86 form my Matchless Nighthawk for a while now.

The ef86 sitch is kinda scary for those of us with ef86s in our amps.
