Looking for a small wattage speaker that will work well with both a giah and a z 28 head?
green back?
weber 15 watt bluedog?
celestion Blue?
Gonna be joining the giah family soon!

I also have a speaker question about the Ghia.
I have a tone tubby alnico 12" hemp cone, and was wondering if it would work well with the Ghia head.
Thank you very much!

Best to try before you buy. I'm a case in point because although Celestion V-30 is a lot of people's ideal, when I auditioned 2x12 cabs with the ghia, V-30's sounded flat whereas greenbacks were rich creamy and woody with a strat. It's what appeals to you. However I'm interested in the weber blue dogs myself! Brett

Well, I "stole" a greenback off of ebay yesterday. Mostly I wanted to have it for my z28 as that seems to be what Doc likes................but, I am also hoping that the Giah and greenback match up nicely. Glad to hear you like your GBacks with your Giah.
As far as the weber blue dogs..........I have no other favorite speaker. Chimey, articulate, tight bass , sparkley top. All the things you'd want out of a speaker. You really gotta let it break in though!

I have a 12 inch TT in a 112 avatar cab. The tubbies are just OK with the ghia. They sound a bit dark at low volumes, but good at higher volumes (past noon) and overdriven. I've also tried the same cab with a maz 38, and that was a much better match.
