Definitely playing my Z Wreck. Thinking about a part 2 to my (crummy) part 1 video, although I did upgrade the sound quality on that one recently.
I love the amp. I lose myself in the tones. Little adjustments of the knobs produce perceptible shifts in sound character. I tend to think of the sound as "silvery." (I'm probably influenced by the quantum silver covering.)
I don't have a favorite setting: there are so many good sounds. Last weekend I was enjoying V 9-10 Cut 10+ T 10+ B 9 with an EC Strat. There's enough output from the guitar to produce a bit of hair with the guitar cranked. Roll back to 7 and it's glorious clean chords that ring and sustain even with pretty light pick attack.

I'm finding quite the same here - there isn't a single "best" setting on this amp. Every guitar suggests completely different settings, and every tone you go for suggest yet another completely different set. This may be Dr. Z's first since the Maz series that actually warrants another tone chart! What's wild is I'll have the amp set with treble turned way up around 3 o'clock, neck pup on a Les Paul and it's glorious, then switch to a Strat and I'll have the treble turned way over at 9 o'clock and it's glorious. And the bass control is wild - over at 9 o'clock it sounds great, by noon you think a freight train is in the room with you, but over at 3 o'clock you'd swear an F-16 just flew through there.

I have yet to run the amp into a different cab, but I'm sure the blue + gold are doing their part in all this.

i can't type and play tele at same time. and when you're grinning ear to ear, it's hard to see the keyboard through the squint.

My son was home for the holidays.......I had the Wreck an Remedy set up in his room. He played the heck out of both of them but he spent more time on the 'Wreck which kinda suprised me in a good way. I am looking int AB-Y switchers...nothing like hitting a switch to get other great tones................
Peace, Jeff

Compared with an a/b/y stompbox, the Headbone VT carries a premium price, but it sure works great AND it allows you to do the two heads into one cab thing. An a/b/y box can't do that. Well, it probably can but the consequences are too painful to contemplate.

Still digging mine here. I love all three of my current crop of Z amps. The ZW has a particular sound that the others do not have. I especially like it with my Tele, but it sounds good with all of my guitars.
