I use a moded TS9 for my light overdrive tones and a moded BD-2 for the heavier overdrive and blues tones.
What can I expect if I tried the XOTIC BB next to the pedals I mentioned? Will it sound similar or is it wort the money?

IMHO The BB is cool, BUT it sounds very much like a TS-9 with a lower mid hump (low mids) and of course with treble and bass controls. It still has that smoothness of a TS. I like it to some degree but I like a litttle edge in my OD's. Personally I think you have the bases covered with what you have.

IMO the BB preamp's gain structure does not sound like a Tube Screamer. I have run the Analogman Modded Maxon OD-9 as well as the MJM blues devil and they don't sound similar to the BB. I find the BB has much more of a single stage marshall vibe. I also found the the pedal smooth with both bass and treble controls at noon but it got much more aggressive the further you turn up the treble. I have had the treble running at 2 o'clock and the bass at 2 o'clock and find it very marshally. Again it is just my opinion. I think it can sound quite different or quite similar to what you have depending on how you EQ it. It still to me has it's own unique sound. Definitely worth a test drive.
