Hi guys I've been using my ghia for about 18months now and am very happy with my TS808 modded tubescreamer, but at times lust after a bit more detail/ definition, and at times longer sustaining creamy drive. The pedals I'm considering are the fulltone mosfet and the OCD. I use a fender jd tele (strat neck pu and duncan broadcaster in back) and an ESP paramount- semi-hollow body with duncan jazz and JB. Advice appreciated please Brett

To be honest, I think any pedal infront of the CG will sound awesome.

Hey Busterboy, check out Dave Ulbricks pedals from Melbourne. They are awesome. The 12AXE will do all the tube screamer stuff and the Megalodon is a superb boost. My friend Simon Patterson uses both and he leaves the megalodon on all the time. I have his Pro Octave pedal but I'm selling my Fulltone Fat boost for a Megalodon as soon as I can. He's pretty accessable on the phone if you wanna chat about what you need and he is the Australian Tone Guru! I also have one of his 1-12 cabs. www.ulbricksound.com

It really depends on where u run the volume on the ghia. With bedroom levels I find the ac booster to be magical. Although when u crank the ghia I think the ac is horrible. If cranked the fd2 works great.

I have a Ghia with a single 12 cabinet using mostly a standard Tele (Fralin blues specials) and a Fulltone OCD. There are lots of really good pedals out there and making a decision is certainly a daunting task. This combo sounds incredible to me though and I don't think you would be disappointed. Good luck!

I prefer the FD2 mosfet. I have owned one for about a year. Built like a tank and it is very good with the ghia. The OCD is good, but not as versatile.

Brett I know what you mean and no, the FD doesn't do that as well as the OCD. I can get that sound with the ghia if i'm using the right speakers, and a bit of pre distortion EQ. If you haven't used it, the FD 2 has the standard tube screamer sound, a flat mid setting (this is what I use, mostly, with the ghia) and the comp cut, which is like a boost pedal, really. All the settings are good, and fuller frequency than most. The boost switch can go pretty high gain with a ton of sustain. Sort of a robben ford sound. The Mosfet is subtle (hard to hear the difference at bedroom volumes), it is supposed to make it more "tube-like" and it does, especially with a really cranked up amp. It is a small but noticable improvement over an already great pedal. Hope that helps Scott
