I had never heard of Musikraft until a couple of days ago. www.musikraft.com/ I'm thinking of building a parts Tele just the way I want it. They look to have some quality stuff. I've checked a couple of other parts builders... Any thought's here?

Never used any of their Tele parts but I'm putting together a Jazzmaster for a buddy and won one of their eBay auctions for an unfinished Jazzmaster neck. It's gorgeous! A Brazilian rosewood board and some beautiful maple with just a hint of figuring and flame ... Can't wait to get it done. The fretwork and everything about it was fantastic. Can highly recommend them.

Theyve been around for a bit...seems like I remember reading over on the TDPRI a few years ago that Redd Volkaert liked their necks.
I'll know soon myself...just ordered one myself a few days ago. I ordered a 9.5 radius "V to C" back shape w vintage ss frets

Finnish? Sounds very nice. Please keep us posted. best, G. I'm getting them to finish the neck with medium tint gloss lacquer, and I think I'm gonna send the body to their affiliate, Orion Finishing, to do the body in translucent Blond or Mary Kaye white. Gonna call them today. I will update.

I got a Music Craft neck here on a parts tele. Huge neck, which I like. I don't like the radius, 12, or the frets, which are just to big for me. Overall it's a nice neck. Their factory is about 45 minutes from me. I don't think they have a store that is open to the public. Good luck with your project Mark.

Kidding of course. I don't own their stuff but I did read up on them a bit at TDPRI a while back when I was in the market for a Tele neck. There were a couple opinions that Musikraft had some quality control issues a few years back but they had corrected them since, and they make good stuff. A lot of people love their stuff. I didn't end up ordering a neck from them but I may be doing so very soon. Good luck with your build!

do they predrill for the bridge plate? I suppose they leave it based on what you put on there, vintage or Am Std style...would they do the drilling if you requested it? Just wondering and thinking...lol

lol...Mark...You got me Tele hooked now lloks like you're getting another hook as well. I talked to Jim at Musikraft and his brother Brian at Orion Guitar Finishing. They will pretty much do what ever you need. Very friendly and professional. Now the waiting game begins...again!...lol I like this 52 RI I got. I plays and sounds great..... but I thought, "If I could just change a few things...like...make the neck a bit fatter...make the wood grain on the body have a bit more character. ( Its so straight and uniform, it doesn't look real!..lol ) ...and I really want a lighter weight Tele....and the color is a little off...." You get the idea.... I figure I could source the parts and put it together myself....what a novel idea!!

My neck arrived today...appears to be well crafted and the neck shape is really nice...I ordered a "v to c" shape and I think it's going to be a perfect fit. Now I'm sending it off to have the headstock painted to match my silver sparkle body

I did a partscaster a few years ago and used a neck and body from them. The neck was really nice as was the body. Oh and it sounded/played fantastic which matters most in the end I suppose.
