I don't visit eBay that often, but every now and then I check to see if any Zs have shown up. I noticed that one of the guys from Gaslight Anthem (Brian) has a couple Zs, including a Rem, on the Bay.
Doesn't way why it's for sale, but I believe Dr Z provided them with Z Wreck #2.

What is Z Wreck #2? A new amp or just 2 of the Z Wrecks Serial number 2, indicating the second one made as regular production amp, rather than a prototype.

I've only seen Brian using his Remedy for the past year now. Havent seen him with the Z Wreck yet. Alex the other guitar player was using a SRZ 65. When there over sea's they seem to use different amps alot, than when they play in the states.

They also sold (well, actually sold the two Remedy heads for them) two Remedy heads here in Europe; they were in GB, and I was about to get one of them; I had already contacted the seller, but there was some problem about shipping, and I couldn't finally get it. Fortunately, I could get my RED one recently... I'd have liked to have one of them, but now I'm happier... Tons of tone!!

I bought the UK gaslight around the same time you put this post on, came in the gaslight flightcase. Is there any way of checking this was used by them?

I really didn't expect to snag that amp...I put in my bid of $920 right before I left for a gig, which was just a couple of hours before it ended, fully expecting to be out-bid, and was surprised when I checked it the next day and had won it for $919 and change..!! It's supposed to ship today, so if I'm lucky I might be able to try it out on the gig this weekend. I have a Vox 2X12 with Greenbacks just waiting for it...lol.

I was a devout Marshall (mid-70's, 4-input) guy for years before I got into the Z's...I'm expecting the Rem to be really likable.

...by the way, do Remedy's require bias adjustment? No, it's cathode biased, so you just replace the power tubes with a balanced quartet and fire it up!! Tons of tone!!

HOLY CRAAAAAAPP!!!! Finally got the Remedy yesterday, and spent about an hour or so firing it up thru (1) the 4X10 w/Celestions, (2)the Vox 2X12 w/Greenbacks, and (3)the stock 2-10's in the MAZ cab. Wow. Sounds great with all three really, but I can't decide whether I like the 4X10 or the 2X12 better...it would probably depend on the gig, but you guys were right...I love it! I'm used to using a few pedals with my MAZ's, but this thing sounds fabulous plugged straight in and cranked up a bit. The price I paid just makes it all even sweeter. I'm REALLY anxious to gig this weekend.

I'm REALLY anxious to gig this weekend. Hello... I am new to the Z-forum. I have appreciated your input thus far on this post, as well as other posts. I am curious if your 4x10 cab is a closed-back cab? Also, what type of 10" inch Celestions do you have in there? I am torn between; purchasing an old Marshall 4x10 closed-back cab and loading it with 10" Celestion Greenbacks, or purchasing a Dr. Z 4x10 Cab w/ Z 10's. I would appreciate any input that you may offer. Others are welcome to chime in if you like. I want to use a Therapy, or even purchase another Remedy to fire this 4x10 engine. Thank you for you time!

Wow...forgot all about this 3-year-old post, but I'll be glad to answer your questions. My 4X10 is an old Sonic closed-back cab with the same speakers they put in the Marshall 4X10's..Celestion G10-35's. I've owned the Marshall 4X10 as well in the past...they sound great too, maybe a little "woodier" than the Sonic, and the Sonic allows stereo or mono operation. Honestly I use my Avatar 2X10 with a Gold and a Greenback more than anything (with the Remedy). I don't have the Vox 2X12 mentioned in the previous post any more...the 2X10 has a bit tighter low end, and it's lighter to carry. I'd give the stock speakers in the Marshall a chance before I swapped those out...those G10-35's sound really great in my opinion. Doc's 10's sound fine with some other amps (Galaxie, MAZ, etc.), but I didn't think they were the best match with the Remedy. Can't speak for the Therapy (yet)!
