Anyone use one in a 2 amp setup? It sounds ideal for me as I like to run a 2 amp setup, but kinda hate luggin' 2 cabs...........
Any tone loss? Also, can you use it with the airbrake ?

No, but I am using a Cab Bone speaker switcher with my Maz Jr. 2x10 combo and a Z 1x12 extension cab. I need to get a remote footswitch for it, because the short speaker cable for the 2x10 means the Cab Bone's tucked into the back of the combo and I have to reach in and switch it by hand, but it functions great. As best I can tell, there's no tone loss, nor does the Maz seem to be running any hotter or cooler, so the load is consistent. I just wish there was some way to get it to do a Y, and not just A-B...

That would be cool BKS, but probably gets a little too complicated dealing with paralleling the cab impedances if it had a Y mode. I just got my Switchbone today !! cant wait to get a chance to plug in and check out all the features it has, Seems really intelligent and built like a tank ! Lou

Nice guy, even in a disappointing conversation. Means I need to get another Maz Jr. 1x12 combo, and a 2x10 extension cab, and then a Switchbone and another Cab Bone, and then I'll have seemingly infinite combo combos... BKS

I have one of those head switchers and my take is a bit reserved. It worked once I got it debugged. That is to say, I have two THD Flexi-50's here that I was planning to switch. If I plugged them in one way, I got a parasitic oscillation, but if I reversed the heads, it went away. So I had to label my two Flexi's so that I got it right every time. The other thing that bugged me is the restriction on effects. If you think about it, it makes sense, but it still bugged me. If you use any delay or effect that includes delay (like reverb) in the loop, and you switch to the other head, those delays are still being amplified and could burn out the load resistor in the switcher. So you have to be careful not to use delay just before you switch heads. There is a warning and explanation in the manual, but it's still annoying to have to deal with. It totally makes sense though... The thing works, but I decided to haul out two cabs in the end. It's more flexible, doesn't have any restrictuions, and there is no danger of burning anything up... YMMV!

Benttop, do you know if it will work with the airbrake? jus curious. Actually when I used it, I ran the output to my Hot Plate before the cab and it seemed to be fine all night. I think the Airbrake would be fine too.

I was thinking that in the long term I might want to replace/upgrade my "clean" amp that drives my Leslie cabinet to something like a Z-28 4x10 and use the cab-bone pedal to switch between the 4x10s in the cab and the Leslie cabinet... but I'm afraid I'll want to get a bigger Z to replace the Ghia to use with the Z-28 if I do that...
