Hi All, After seeing the Allan Hinds demo for Xotic (I bought a BB and RC, wonderful pedals!), I am curious about the AYA R-Comp. I recently had a Keeley 4 knob. Any thoughts? As always, many thanks! Rick

I've got to know more about this pedal. I'm interested in buying one but I'd like to try it out first naturally. B.

I have one, I got it when they first hit the states. I like it but it's just another very good compressor. Not a world away from my Keeley. To me, it's very simular. The AYA has a trim pot on the inside but I have no idea what it is, I leave mine as it came and use it mainly for a clean boost only on clean tones. Just as I do any compressor.

Cool! Would you mind elaborating a bit on the comparisons between the AYA and the Keeley comp please? I've tried a friends Keeley comp and I quite liked it. I'm still curious to try the AYA. Thanks, B.

there are a lot of good compressors. I'm sure any of them that get discussed here will do a good job for you. Before I got a Keely I was using a little green Guyatone. In some ways I like it better but they both do what they're supposed to do.

Thanks, B. I'm not the one to pick out the small differences, I'd say they are very simulsr and in a blind test I couldn't tell the difference. The new Keeley 4 knob should do anything a guy would ever want but the AYA is a just plug and play. Either are as good as comps get in my opinion (Ross style that is).
