Anyone tried any of these pedals? Sorry, I can't help you, but I have been real curious about their Tube Zone overdrive for quite some time! Ray K.

Anyone tried any of these pedals? I have had one of these for about 3 years. I think he has updated it at some point after I got it. I use it for heavy lead sounds, kind of like Santana lead tones. It uses multiply stages to achieve the overdrive. Let me know if you have specific questions.

Well, I guess my interest stems from the fact I didn't realize they were Australian! Therefore, they are pretty accessible to me. I'm pretty keen to try the two fuzzes. Dave Ulbrick has some stellar overdrives and boosts down here too.

I recently purchased an older version of the Crunch Box. It hasn't come in yet. I plan to use it as my heavy distortion pedal, so that I have the full gain range (Treble boost, Fuzz, Overdrive, and Distortion). I'll write a lil review once I get it and run it for a bit.

I've got both the Blues Pro and the Blue Boy. Both great pedals, especially at 18 volts. Both match my Z28 really well.

I've been wanting to try a Tube Zone for awhile, but I've since noticed the Blues Pro. I like the sample clips on the web site. Unfortunately, like everyone else, if I can't locate a good used one I'm going to have to sit on my hands for awhile. Everyone is sold out and MI Audio is trying to get pedals built, I'm sure as fast as they can. Ray K.

I had a crunch box for a week...............sold it quickly. Not cuz I didn't like it though......the thing breaks concrete and rattles the foundation in a nice way........I have no idea why I bought it as my style doesn't call for that tone ever...............but, the sound clips were so cool and I just figured for 100 bucks I just wanted to try it out.........big , hard hitting non buzzy tone from that little red box!

I'm liking my Crunch Box. It's heavy enough to get a good *chug* on low chords but is not completely over the top death metal noise. I find it a bit noisy, and I'm going to see if there is anything to reduce it. I use it alot now.

+1 on the noise of the Crunch Box. I still really like having the versatility of that pedal though. I thought about sending my older version over to AUS for the new mod...but figured I could live with it. Really a cool pedal. 6strang

I ordered a new Tube Zone direct from MI Audio. They, and everyone else, were out of stock for awhile. Plus they have made some very interesting looking changes. This is the third generation of this pedal. Plenty of info on their site.
Mine should be shipped today. I'll certainly report back once I have spent some time with it.

+1 right back to you 6strang
I actually might send mine out to AUS 'cause I don't have a gig until August. Elsewise I would never be able to have it gone for so long.
Either way, I'm happy. Best $100 I've spent in a while

I had the G.I. Fuzz and it sounded like a toy. Thin and weak and no real fuzz to it at all, just crackly and thin. It was good for lo fi, broken, tinny sounds though.

There is an entire company dedicated to dissonant fuzz sounds, almost like what you describe hasley. It's called Effector 13 or something like that. Terrible noise lol. I guess they sell though. For fuzz, there is no substitute for good germanium (or silicone) transistors.
