I bought one and absolutley could NOT find a decent sound out of it. I gave it three days of trying and tweaking and it wasn't even in the ballpark for me. I've heard other guys love it so YMMV!

I have one and like the sound. It is best used by itself into a clean amp. It has two channels... one for mild breakup and the other one for more compressed lead tones. Its a very handy pedal especially if you are only bringing a pedal or two to a gig. You could use it off for clean, orange channel for some dirt, and red channel for lead.

I agree kledbet. Great pedal if you want just one that does a lot. But the tones where really very plastic and didn't go with my amps. But sometimes I liked it and most of the time I couldn't make it work.

All I could hear was pedal. I might as well have been playing a Squire Strat thru a Peavey. The sound of the guitar and amp were smothered by the pedal. I'm sure glad we don't all like the same thing. It would be a dull world!

I had one and I finally lost the gig bag it was in. I don't miss it at all. I really wanted to like it ..... just couln't get the sounds I was trying to get- and the ones there I didn't like. I hear good about it -not on my end. Operator error? Wouldn't be the 1st time for me.

yea I glad we don't all like the same thing too but it sure makes it hard to get an opinion on what pedal to try.
hey billy any luck on the perfect overdrive for the stang? I've heard a hot cake is great with vox tone but man who knows. I haven't really liked the amp lately which is why I'm looking so hard for a different overdrive or boost or something. For some reason I sold all of my distorion pedals and realize I only have a full drive 2. I can not be happy with this set up as I just can't make it sound natural. I love love love the amp but have mostly been using my orange only cause of this pedal prob.

Check out my thread about the Analogman King of Tone. Best pedal I've ever heard. I also put a review on harmony central, I don't know if it's shown up yet there. Keep in mind, I don't want a drastic change in tone or harmonic structure. I just want the pedal to sound like the amp is turned up without bumping the volume. As a matter of fact, I think I'll leave my Air Brake at home tonight. I don't think I'll need it at all. Lots of reason for the 2 year wait I had. that shouldn't happen anymore. He explains it on his site: www.analogman.comBy the way, I think this pedal sounds better than the Orange amp's drive channel. But i really haven't spent much time listening to the Orange and it was another guy playing it when I did hear it. The clean channel sounded good on it. I'd say the KoT sounds more like power amp distortion than the preamp distortion in two channel amps.
