Hey guys , i think i recall someone mentioning they had a screamer fuzz. I'm really intrigued with the idea of blending an O/D with fuzz on a single pedal. Anyone with some experience with it , i'd love to hear your take on it !! Thanx, Lou
Oh yeah i'm also waiting for my Lovepedal Cot 50 and Karl fuzz, anxious to try them !

Hey Telemanic. Match here. This is what I said when Tasweigan asked about the Screamer/Fuzz. Enjoy. -Matt Great Pedal, very versatile. I met Jon Cusack at the Columbus Guitar Show. My band mate had a Screamer, and I had just had my Zvex SeekWah modded w/ his tap tempo mod, amazing mod BTW, Let's you use the pedal, an oddball to begin with, in a live context. Anyway back to the Screamer/Fuzz. Jon says it's an broken op-amp design, not a transistor type fuzz. It gets pretty fuzzy, but my favorite settings are lot's of Screamer/a little fuzz. I use the fuzz control just like a tone control adding just the right amount of treble/fuzziness. And if you max out the fuzz control, it craps out like it's broken, kind of a cool effect. Into the KT45 it sounds huge, it's my over the top/Toolesque/wall of sound pedal. It also will do the overdrive thing, with just the screamer control on, no fuzz, but it's darker sounding than my band mate's Screamer. I love the etched black pedals, they really stand out, and no silk screening to wear off. And the switches he uses are amazing, not a hard click, just a soft contact, and they switch from a green LED standby, to Red LED, ON, as if you didn't know it was on....... Hope that's an ample description. Jon's a great guy to deal with as well.

Hey thanx guy's, i appreciate the Input. Sounds like it's worth a try! I just got my Lovepedal COT 50, and Karl fuzz. The COT with my Rt.66 is the bomb !!! The rt. is Treble dimed,....Bass about 10:30-11:00,... and Vol. dimed. The Cot set about 9:30. Amazing!! The Karl, i'm not sure,...It might go back. Its maybe the most USEABLE fuzz i've had, but i continue to search for a sound in my head that i'm not finding.....Yet!

Yep, I'd love to have a fang on that pedal ;D
Match, I notice you have the KOT, have you been able to compare an Analog man Sunface with the fuzz side of the Cusack?

I have not... I've played through many a fuzzface, but never used a Sunface... My rangemaster clone gets pretty fuzzface like when really pushed. And the guy who made it said it's basically a fuzzface w/o the gain. That said, the Cusack, and the rangemaster have a very different sound. Cusack being more modern, and tight, the rangemaster doing that fuzzface thing when pushed, loose and chaotic. The Cusack gets really nasty when pushed, but more controlled. unless you crank the fuzz all the way up. It sounds like it's broken then, pretty cool. ;D I hope this helps... Sometimes talking about tone/music is like dancing about archecture..... -Matt

No, it's very helpful...especially to us guys that can't try things out first. Yeah, I have the Tonefactor Hellbilly which is probably similar to your rangemaster clone. I love it. I have it set up more as a fuzz and have been hitting it with the fatboost for leads but I'd love to get a narly, spitting, high gain fuzz for some nutso stuff! Thanks for the reply, Karma atcha.
