OK, I've pretty much dissed this box here before and for good reason - it is really noisy. No matter what amp I've tried, it always has a huge hiss when its running. But I got my Stingray today and running the Rotosphere II through the effects loop it seems the hiss is all gone! I'm not sure what's going on there, or why it seems to work on the 'ray when it even works poorly on my Rivera (and I thought the Rivera loop was the best I'd tried). Through the Stingray the Rotophere II just sounds AMAZING! Now I have to figure out how I want to set things up because I don't want two cords coming all the way out to my pedal board from the effects loop - I may have to sit it on top of the amp and trigger it remote or something... still have to figure that out. But if you have a Stingray, and you want a real Leslie sound, this works really great!

congrats. I don't currently use mine, but I won't dump it....the instructions say it's best in the loop, don't they? I mean, Warren Haynes used this for who knows how long!? Charlie Hunter, Scofield also come to mind...gee, their sound sucks too, huh ;D

Shoot, the Rivera has a send level and a return level - how much better can it get than that? But it still hissed like a gander with his tail on fire. Not so in the Stingray though!

Benttop, ya gotta stop lighting those poor ganders tails on fire! But it reminds me so much of that Heathkit amp we built back in the day!
