With all the hype about the RC Booster these days, I thought I should mention the Bad Bob booster. I used an RC Booster as my only "leave it on" pedal for a few months but always wanted to try the Bad Bob...actually, I bought the RC because the Bad Bob was on Backorder at the time. I bought a Bad Bob from leftylang a few weeks ago and I really like it. Its a great single knob clean boost and it has become my "leave it on" pedal...the RC is now limited to instances where I need that EQ tweaking capability. The Bad Bob has a LOT more boost available than the RC and I understand you can run it at 18V for even more clean boost...though I havent tried that yet. Is anybody else using the Bad Bob?

I had one for the longest time, and it's a great box, and Robbie Wallace is a great guy. I did some tweaking with mine (added carbon comp resistors inplace of the metal film). I did'nt really notice very much difference in tone but it did "warm" it up a tad. It's a great box to OD an amp. The RC IMHO is not intended as an overdrive but more like an EQ. I've always been weary of one knob pedals and always will be...WYSIWYG.

I got an early one back when they were about 90 bucks, and I just love it. I've never even tried another clean boost, although for some reason I feel obligated to try every new OD pedal on the block. I run mine through a DC Brick at 18V, and it's a noticeably cleaner boost - at least on my lower powered amps.
