I just got a Diamond opto type compressor and it sounds terrific. It's very transparent, doesn't alter the original tone much and works wonders for light to medium compression. Even at extreme settings, the note attack is preserved. It also has an EQ knob that helps get some convincing Rickenbacker sounds. I've never been much for compressor pedals, but I'm having a blast with this one. Here is a link with a bunch of sound bytes. www.diamondpedals.com/products/compressor.html

Whoa, you must be reading my mind. I was just thinking about trying one these out today. Maybe even bringing it home.

All of Diamond Pedal stuff is top-notch! I have the ML and Fireburst and they are both amazing. They are my favourite manufacturer as far as overall build and sound quality goes.

Whoa, you must be reading my mind. I was just thinking about trying one these out today. Maybe even bringing it home. Let me know what you think, as I'm a compressor novice. Every other compressor pedal I've tried I didn't like, so I've never spent any time with one until now. I get to try it out on a gig tonight.
