Wow, I just finished about a half hour session with my ZW and the R8. Cut was at about 10:30 o'clock, bass and treble both over at around 9 o'clock and the volume wide open. I'm attenuating the heck out of it to keep the peace here in the family, but dang, there were some gorgeous tones coming out of that thing. One thing I noticed, getting to the subject, is that there are beautiful harmonics happening where there ought not be good harmonics at all. Like when you play two notes that are not harmonic, say an E and Eb together. Should sound like a gut ache, but it just produces beautiful harmonics no matter what you do. It has to be the best double-stop engine I've ever driven. That is going to be very cool when I get to some slide stuff too. It is very difficult to record this - not because of technical issues - because I don't want to stop playing long enough to set up the equipment. I had intended to record a short piece and never got that far. Even my wife says she notices the difference. Her interpretation is that the amp is really clean, because she can distinguish every note. Totally digging the ZW here. Unfortunately I'll be out of town for a few days next week, so I won't get to record this till I get back.

Distinguishing every note can be a bad thing for some of us.
