Gonna be using the Z-Wreck tonight. My first gig with it. The first gig I've played since I received it with a large enough venue to use a couple of amps. Looking forward to it. Will post results (what I think) tomorrow sometime. MeZadude

Now that my replacement tubes are installed I got some play time today. Wish I had a Wreck compatible gig this weekend.
Have a great gig. Report eagerly awaited.

OK. Here's my impression of the Z-Wreck at a gig. Phenomenal! I loved it. I paired it up with my Mesa MKV as that's my main amp. I used the Wreck for color and depth, which it has in spades. The Z-Wreck added a beautiful glassy/shimmering quality to my guitars. I used one of my main axes, the Carvin V220T, a Crook Tele and my Rickenbacker 660/12. One thing I noticed that I liked better than the Ray, is that when I cranked up the MKV lead tones, and pushed both amps at the same volume, the Wreck blended right in with the MKV tones. When I've used the Ray in the same situations, the Ray would still sound 'clean' while I was pushing leads out of the Mesa. The Wreck blended right in, which I found very cool. It just added to the lead tone when pushed. I also did something a little different using 2 amps last night. Normally I have an amp switcher and run my guitar signal into the switcher, which splits to both amps. I have one volume control for the lot. Last night I took the L&R signals out of the TC Electronic G-system, one into one volume pedal, and one into the other. Then ran a cable out of each pedal into the amps. That way I had complete control over the volumes of each amp. I used my ErnieBall 6166 pedals, and sat them side by side, really close to each other so that I could use one foot on both. It worked like a charm. There were a couple of tunes where I really wanted more Mesa. With separate pedals, I could control each amps volume independently. Very cool! Worked great! The Wreck never sounded tubby, or anything like that. The more I pushed it, the more it added to the sound. Love those glassy, chimey tones! I had the volume set at around 1 o'clock. And later in the sets boosted it to around 2 o'clock. It was matching the volume of the MKV perfectly. I had the MKV's Master at around 11:30 o'clock with the channels set at their 45W mode. To sum up. The Wreck's definitely a keeper. Absolutely love it!!! So did everyone else! I have a ton more pictures. Will post a few more as I'm able. MeZadude

Wow , thanks for the report and very cool pics! That's quite a pedal set-up you have there. The dual volume pedal idea was brilliant. Great stuff.

Nice report and thanks for the photo's. I love gear photo's! Glad you like your new amp and that is works well with your set-up. ;D I used to have a Carvin DC-150 that I really liked. It was stolen and I went back to more traditional axe's. I also had a bad experience with Carvin on a bass I bought from them. They never would make it right after 2 trips back to the factory and finally said that was the best they could do and wouldn't give me a refund. I sold it at a loss. Wish that guitar would float back to me though- Congrats on the Z Wreck!

By the way, I also used the Wampler Paisley pedal that night for the first time. I typically have a TC Electronic Nova Drive connected to my guitar, before the G-system input, and add a little boost (or more) when I want to really have a lot of gain & sustain over & above what the Mesa will do. I added the Paisley pedal (you can just make it out in the band pic. It's the blue pedal) to one of the loops in the G-system. That way, I was able to leave the pedal on and hit the 'loop' button on the G which kicks the pedal into play. The Paisley pedal has a smoother, shall I say softer/rounder tone to it. It worked very well on a tune or two. Just thought I'd mention it. MeZa

MeZa,
Great report and pics. You've got a monster rig there! I bet you were pumping out some serious volume in addition to great tone. Keep it up.
