Well, if you are looking for $4,000 of value in a 'gut shot'...you ain't gonna see it Of the $3,700 for the 'Wreck, about $1,500 or so is in the 212 cab with Blue/Gold combo and hardwood front. So, that puts the head at about $2,200 (including the hardwood front) which would be pretty close to the cost of a new Stangray head with upgraded hardwood front. I'd say the 'gut shot' would look darn close to all of Doc's other amps..nothing more, nothing less. I also wouldn't expect it to be like the Rocket since I don't thing the 'Wreck is like the Rocket in many respects. it's more of a hybrid bewteen a Liverpool-type amp and Rocket-type amp, IMHO..of course . I'm new to Dr.Z family. What is the protocol? Gut shots get one killed on sight or are they cool with the good Dr.? The trannies in this thing are custom made for Dr.Z from what I understand so unless you get the same trannies there is little chance to make one of your own that will sound the same anyways. Right?

They always end up appearing somewhere on the web anyway, so many have appeared here. That Proguitar.de web site does a gut shot of every Dr. Z amp he lists there, so I'm pretty sure he'll do this one too eventually. I'll add the caveat that I've never seen Dr. Z specifically say he's ok with it, or not ok with it, so you take your chances.

Appreciate your sharing.
