Hey all,
just wondering about something ...
received my HBE BigD today and while I haven't tried it yet, I noticed that the Level pot is a bit hard to turn around noon ... all the other pots turn smoothly. Anything I should be concerned about?
I also recently got the AnalogMan Clone Chorus (which is fantastic) and had the same problem ... I e-mailed Mr. Analog Man and he replied that it's nothing to worry about, just needs to be worked in a bit ...
Any of you had this before? Would you send the pedal back for exchange?

Check the knob, sometimes they get screwed down while being too low to the pedal and rub on the nut. (hee hee...rub the nut...)

Wait, wait, wait, a minute. Lefty, do you mean you are here to help "rub the nut"? Just kidding. Hey, iggs, where are you placing your Clone Chorus. I have one as well and find it to work a little differently depending on pedal order. I have mine after the AM sunface and Beano boost. After the Clone Chorus I have a budda Phatman and then a Memory Lane. I just got the Memory Lane and have been asking myself if I need the Chorus since the ML has a modulation, but the modulation is only on the delays. There is a distinct difference in the sound of the two, for many reasons, but mostly because the Clone applies to my main signal and the delayed sounds. I know that I just have to decide for myself, but was curious how you are using/liking the Clone. Thanks

Hey foxx,
sorry for not replying sooner ... just saw your Q today.
I have my Clone after all the OD/Dist and before the ML ... I love it, lush and thick, exactly what I need. I don't really use it with ML because I use the modulation on the ML for that slightly chorused delay effect and then have the Clone set for more of an obvious chorus effect.

Hey B,
I really like the ML ... I just love the sound of it. I mostly use it for a short delay with some modulation to open up my clean sound. I guess I could have gotten something cheaper and smaller just for that purpose, but the ML sound is definitelly worth the extra $$$ and extra space on my pedalboard.
