Hey everyone. I'm working on a ZWreck demo vid for Doc, and wanted to get some more feedback from you guys. It's been a little slow cause I'm not feeling great these days. But, here is what I'm thinking. As of now I have a great intro that shows the amp off from all sides. I plan on demonstrating how she cleans up when the volume on the guitar is rolled back. A strat, some humbuckers, and some slide for fun. I went into this intending to record the amp bone dry, but sometime's want to add a little reverb to the clean sounds. Is that going to be a issue? Also, thinking of playing some leads against a looped progression, to see how it sits in the mix. Of course some chords as well as lines. And lot's of funny faces ;D Just kidding. Might even do the headless guitar man after all the grief I took on the Monza vid. Give me some opinions....reverb OK? Playing with a looped progression?? Main questions.

if you use a Z-verb I guess it is fine. As far as your playing show us the amp not your playing skills. Everyone wants to sow us these leads and that is fine, but they never get around to showing us what the amp sounds like on a sustaining cord. This is one of the cool things about DR.Z's two guitar videos. They show both sides of playing the amp.

Hey Frankie... All the stuff you listed above sounds good, however, since you ask- I like your video's, but would be more enjoyable for me if you had no back ground music/guitar while you are talking. That's distracting to me. My $.02...

Hey Frankie, I really enjoy all aspects of your demos. I am a reverb lover!!! I thought the demo of the wet reverb was awesome. I also enjoy the Z- verb but I am a musician who travels light so I like to hear what I am going to get without truckin around a second reverb head. I personally want to hear the jazz tones up to the highest rock tones. I trust that what ever you do will be great. I also enjoy the faces and back ground music well thought out!!!

Frankie. I really appreciate your Videos and your talent. Maybe you could give us some dry examples and at the end put it in the mix with a closing song. Also Maybe you could grow a mustache so the facial expressions are different JK Great job-I like how your really in the moment..

Hi Frankie. My Wreck came in yesterday. I've got a bit of playing time on it.
I do agree that the initial demo should include a range of guitars so that people can hear what their main axe, or something close to it, sounds like through the Wreck.
One thing I'd love to see you demonstrate, possibly in Z Wreck Demo II -- The Sequel, is what you can get by moving the amp knobs around while sticking with one guitar.
Looking forward to your vid.

Have a high commitment to (showing/or making known) the settings being used...
Make lots of personal observation comments...
Have fun...

Thanks guys....And Doctorice , I'm am going to try some of your settings that you posted in your other thread. I have noticed as well how sensitive and many different sounds you get just by experimenting with the tone knobs. Very different then the old Fender amps I grew up with. I'm still working on the demo little by little. I'm playing the Keaggy concert Fri. and have been practicing and preparing for it. Sorry for the demo taking so long. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait. I didn't want to rush it.

I agree that this amp merits more than a quick demo, Frankie. Take your time.
Hope you have a great show too.

Hey Frankie - I know we are going to see many straight clips with just guitar and Wreck... I'd be curious to here it with a Zen Drive or some sort of O.D. in front... Thanks

Just speaking for myself, I could skip the reverb part. Just covers up the sound, plus I already know what reverb sounds like... :-)
Thanks Frankie!

Looking forward to your report back on the Keaggy gig almost as much as the Z Wreck video Have a great show Frankie ;D As for the demo: a nice matrix mix of Solos / Chords - Clean / Dirty would be great. A nice touch to play over a backing track to show the cut through in the mix would be a bonus, but not essential. Be nice to see a clean boost maybe, but OD pedals and Reverb don't interest me in this sort of demo - all just MHO of course ;D Cheers Pete ;D

I might be too late here, but I really like your videos. If I can be fussy, I would say use a LesPaul for part of it? Maybe start with a Tele, then Strat, LP, and SG? The basic guitars. Add some more comments on amp knob position ( with a close up ) while you take each through its full sweep, and guitar volume/tone rolloff might make them even better. Keep um comming, great job on what you have done. I like how you dont talk alot through them, but a little more comentary would be cool too. I hate other Vid's where they talk for 80% of the video and leave you with the felling of ?. Your Monza Vid sent one my way.
