I'm interested in getting a Zvex Octane 3 and a Zvex Super Duper 2 in 1 for my overdrive and fuzz needs for my Ghia, any thoughts or alternatives?
I was thinking the Super Duper would push the Ghia to natural amp distortion from clean (9 o'clock) with 3 gain options from the footswitches, is this right? Would I be better off with two pedals, one clean boost and the other an overdrive, options?
The Octane 3 sounds quite extreme on the demo movie, has anyone had experience with one, I need a fuzz and previously only gone for Big Muff clones like the Baja Tech Da Moaf (the best clone of a triangle/green Big Muff), because I fear that a NKT Sunface would be tinny and buzzy and not have enough distortion mixed into the fuzz + I like the amp set clean. What would you suggest for me fuzz wise?

My Sunface sounds great with the Ghia--not tinny or buzzy, just fuzzy The 9 o'clock setting on the Ghia sounds pretty great with Sunface-->Wah-->AC Booster-->RC Booster IMHO. At higher volume settings I like my Analogman Silver Mod TS in place of the AC. Just some thoughts. I really like the Super Duper, but found the RC/AC Booster combo to be more versatile. Especially the RC (see other threads). Good luck!
