Hey, anybody use one of these. I'm missing the fuzz sound... (I got rid of my Sunface a while back..stupid). It looks like the Pedalworx McFuzz is pretty cool. Anybody?

I have tried a number of fuzz pedals- Zvex Fuzz Factory two times ( they're a bit unpredictable/wild) AM NKT275 (great fuzz but a bit dark w/ my RT 66 ) Diaz Square Face ( a bit shrill imho) I finally tried a used Mcfuzz Standard ( $100 ) bought off the Weber Buy N Sell page. As Goldilocks said- This one is Just Right ! Lots of tweakability, can't get a bad sound out of it. Very reliable- no problems at all in 4 years. Playing classic rock, blues into Rt 66 w/ 2X12 Zbest (2 GB's) with Strat & Tele

I'm getting scared because I think I'm becoming a bit of a fuzz nut and I don't need to develop anymore infatuations when it comes to gear. Last night a friend loaned me his Zvex Fuzz-Factory and I used it for "Sunshine of Your Love" and some other fuzz tunes in a cover gig. Sounded great into the 66. One stage I had my "Hellbilly" on at the same time and had the most wicked high gain lead tone happening. The Hellbilly just fattened the fuzz factory up and doing "You Really Got Me" I couldn't help but break into the Van Halen version. I accidently did some "Whammy Pedal" style effects with the wha and Fuzz Factory on too which was pretty funny.
I think I'm going to have to try the Ulbrick Germanium Face and the AM Sunface/lion.

I've tried the McFuzz and McFuzz Hot. I thought they were both great...I preferred the regular McFuzz. There's a sweet spot on that pedal you would probably stick to,,,it can get nice and meaty sounding yet still clean up great. For the money, the McFuzz is a nice choice.
There's lots of great fuzzes out there, so there are some other great suggestions getting thrown out here. One of my alltime faves is the Pink Purple Fuzz from BJF,,which is not your typical fuzz. It feels like a fuzz/overdrive hybrid...the fuzz for folks who don't like fuzz pedals.
Right now I have a simple dimple fuzz face clone that someone made for me a few years ago, and I never have liked it until I started using it with my Rt.66. It sounds pretty mean and big through the 66.
