I"ve been looking into a Univibe style pedal.
A friend recently bought a Lovepedal version, and it didn't feel very sturdy to me. But I only checked out for a second. Sounded real good though.
Anyone try/have any of these to offer up suggestions?
I would prefer a compact box.
Thanks for your time

When I played in a rock band I had a Dunlop. It seemed to be decent enough but I never compared it with anything else. I found I never used it so I sold it. I wanted to use it but it just never seemed to fit the tunes. Good luck!

I have a Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere II here. Dang I love/hate that box. It has the most lovely rotating speaker effect I've ever heard - along with pronounced hum, and terrible hiss. And it is GIGANTIC! I've just pulled it off my board because it's taking up way too much room. Oh yeah, all that and it's expensive too....

Interesting you should ask as a friend of mine came over yesterday and we compared his Mojo Sweet Sound Mojo-vibe against my Fulltone Mini Deja-vibe (Custom Shop). Both are fantastic univibe clones. The Mojo had more effect, more intensity and was very warm. We agreed the Fulltone was probably a bit more like the original uni-vibe. Both are winners. I use the Deja-vibe on lots of tracks on my new album. Check out the song "Leave Now" for a quick reference. Or "Fading from Blue To Gray" or "Hypothermia" drzamplifiers.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=soundfiles&action=display&thread=1135038050

I use the the Jim Dunlop Roto-vibe. I love it, it has two modes via a little aluminum kickswitch for Rotating Leslie sounds (Univibe) and a more Chorus type effect. There is also a knob on the side for intensity and you control the speed. I have tried lots of them even the new Roger Mayer version. The Mayer version is supposed be moddeled after Hendrix Univibe. They are all two noisy except my Univibe. I get no AC hum from it. Maybe if I get time I will post some sounds for you. You cant go wrong with this pedal.

I use the Mojo Vibe, it's a great box. I've had the original Deja, RM Voodoo Vibe, and a brief stint with a Voodoo Labs Vibe (yuck). I was debating on revisting the vibe subject, size was the first issue. So that narrowed it down to the Mojo and the (silver) Deja. As I recalled from way back when the Deja was great but did'nt have alot of output, and it did'nt have the speed controller pedal jack. I think the Mojo is your best bang for the buck, and it sounds great too!! I use mine in the "vintage" setting.

I really like the fulltone Deja Vibe 2, The built in pedal speed control is awesome, but it can be hard to get the exact speed you want at times.

The Option 5 sounds killer on the clips I heard @ effectsforless.com.

I really like the H&K Rotosphere. Bulky, yes, noisy, a bit. Still, it sounds great, better than all other rotary effects I've played through.

I would prefer a compact box. I have the Sweet Sound Mofaux which is the same small footprint, It sounds great! I love the fact it is small and you can power it with a standard 9v power supply.

i use the fulltone mini deja.....its the only "effect" i use on my sound besides overdrives and boosts....i love it....it adds a nice color at lower sounds, and has a real organic quality to it
