I thought the Aqua Puss was a clone of the dm-2.. if that's true then either a dm-2 or dm-3; which is what I have. I know some say the dm-2 is slightly darker but personally, i didn't think the difference between the two was worth the price difference. The dm-3 is a bit more quiet and is still plenty warm. So my advice would be one of those two..good luck!

If you can't find a DM2, you might want to wait a bit for the "new" delay by Retro-Sonic. It's supposed to be a clone of the DM2, except it's true-bypass.

Um...so what's the big deal about the Aqua Puss, anyway?

I heard from the gear page that jeorge tripps is leaving line 6 and most likely making wayhuge pedals again ,that would be cool I'm in the market for a good analog delay (aqua puss)but did not want to spend over 500.00 on ebay .

Well, if that is true, the aqua puss chip used when he had his company are all gone. The closest thing to the aqua puss is a maxon ad-80. those are around $350 or so on ebay.
