Does anyone know how long a power cord can be used with the 6545? Mine is pretty short and I'd like to have a longer one, if possible. Same thing for my Ghia head, actually...

If you go heavy gauge you can get quite long. I bought three 15 footers from a medical supply joint a while back. They seem to work fine with all my gear, and 15 feet is way longer than a standard cord. Check www.alphasource.com/landing/cordspowersupplyul.cfm for one place that has them.

Yup, steve's right, it's all about the gauge as you extend the wire. Sometimes you can find something heavy duty at radio shack too.

I got mine from Radio Shack. They do carry different lengths.

Thanks for the tips. I know I could just use an extension cord, but I'd like the cord to at least reach the ground when it's sitting on a couple of cabs...

I've seen them as heavy as 12 AWG, but for our amps 14 AWG or 16 AWG should be overkill.
