Well who didn't see this comming?
Now I want the matching cab to go with me amp. I 1st was happy thinking that a 2x10 would be fine and I'm sure it would be, but the 4x10 for another $200 would be mighty fine as well. Also the 4x10 isn't that much bigger or heavier.
YOu can give me your personal idea's on tone, portablity, and what ever youthink comes into play, but here is what I'm thinking.
I have a new matching 2x10 lined up. All I have to do is call and pay for it and 3days it's here. I could then buy a 1x12 and have both sounds. But, this would leave me needing to buy 2 speaker road cases.
If I went with the 4x10. I would have 4x10's for one amp if I need the extra volume. I could also split the speakers and make it a two input 2x10 cab for running a extra amp head. I would only need to buy one road case. The extra $200 will set me back from getting it ASAP, but then again I most likely would have to order one.
Why road cases for everything. Well, one day I'm planning on touring the world. Just incase that never happens. I also have plans to retire in Argentina @ 40. So, shipping and safe travel is concern and lord knows that stuff isn't gonna get any cheaper. So, I might as well buy it now!!!!

210 or 410 ? they're both very cool. right now, I've got the older style 210 cab and love runnin' the '28 thru it and I've also got the older style 112 cab and use it almost as much as the 210. if I could find a nice place in the music space for a 410 ...... what to do for you? .... Collect 'em all happy shopping, eh Joel

I have a Z-28 2-10 combo and I bought two 10" Z speakers from a forumite here. I built a 2-10 extension cab(open back) to sit under the combo for when I need to push more air. It doesn't get much louder, but just gives more oomph. Also, it's easier to haul those two boxes than a 4-10 and a head.
I also use the extension cab with a Crate Power Block for small jam gigs or practices, and have used it under my Peavey Delta Blues 1-15. That makes a sweet set-up, by the way. I want to try the Z-28 with the Emi Big Ben 15 and the two Z-10's someday.
Good luck on your new setup!

I have the Z open back 4x10 cabinet. It's a great cab and has tremendous power handling capacity. According to DrZ it's 3db louder than the 2x10. It is a huge sounding cab with a great bottom end. If I were to do anything different it would be to wire it so you run either 2 of the speakers @8ohm or all 4 @4. ArnieZ
