hi to all, i'm nick from italy, i'm new in this forum... i've buyed a z28 head last year, really a great amp, i love it. i got a marshall 2061cx 2x12 cab with celestion g12h30. the cab is really cute, very vintage style...well, my question. before the buy of the dr.z, i had a traynor ycv50, and bought from ted weber a 50w 8ohm alnico blue dog for replacing the speaker...then i sell the amp and take the weber with me. well, now i've got the gas for replacing the speaker of that little marshall. what do you think is best with that alnico blue dog, another blue dog? a silver bell or so? thanx for your reply.

Hi Nick from Italy,
The combination of a Blue Dog and a Silver Bell cannot be beat. They compliment each other perfectly.
Welcome to the forum.

My grandparents were from Perugia (not sure I got the spelling correct).

i've studied at Perugia university...i'm from pescara...
well what the substantial difference from the alnico and ceramic? do you think is a good match an alnico blue dog and ceramic silver bell? last night, at rehersal i played a vox ac30 with celestion blue...i like that amp, but is a little too sweet. the z28 is more aggressive, and i love its punchy tone with my telecasters. oh my god, i'm pretty confused...sorry for my boring qustions... keep on rockin' nick

Sorry Nick, I can't comment on the alnico BD & SB. I have several alnico speakers but they are all 25 watt versions of the Weber 12A150 so not really comparable.
