Hi guys, Getting a Monza 1x10 next week (at LONG last!) and have been thinking of getting a Ghia head and using Headbone switch, A/B between them using the Monza's Red Fang for both. Firstly, do you think these amps are good bed-follows for live work? Secondly, is the Monza SO much louder than the Ghia as to make this unworkable? Thirdly, am I mad? ? Cheers Pete ;D

Hey Pete, I am in the process of setting up my Monza / Ghia rig. Both are 1 x 10 combo's (mini stack), I have to say the volume thing is not an issue, and they sound great together. I use an aby switcher and I'm liking the sounds together.
P.S, I luv, luv luv my Monza. I got it first. And I just recently got the Ghia for the cleaner side of things. I am completely blown away by the Ghia. The sound is incredible and the dynamics are very inspiring. Your not mad! The possibilities with this setup is endless.

Mike, you know it!! Toneexplorer, that's a TERRIBLE piece of reporting! How on earth am I supposed to save my money when you tell me how wonderful these two amps sound together, eh?? ;D I'm delighted to hear the volume diference isn't an issue, and that the Ghia sounds great on the cleans (Monza doing dirty is a given!!). Now, all I have to worry about is whether my beloved Maz will feel all betrayed. Better make sure to play her plenty too to make her feel loved ;D Cheers Pete ;D

Man that's good to hear. I love the idea of the Ghia - just two knobs! This Z thing is a crazy addiction though, as Mike said. The amps are so good they make you want to play SO much better. They really flatter your playing and make you take risks, which is GREAT! I'll be visiting the dealer this week and having some fun ;D ;D ;D Pete

Actually I'm really diggin the Aqua puss. It helps really makes things sound alot bigger.
That Nash tele is the Bomb! I really love it. I ordered the black from Chris at K-line. I wanted the specs exactly like the Nash......I forgot to specify the fret wire size, so I'm trying to get used to it. Everything else is great, the contour and feel of the neck. Nash uses larger frets shaved down and it just feels right to me. The smaller frets on the K-line are taking some getting used to.

Great rig! I'll be using the Headbone to put a Ghia head through the Monza combo, bot the result should be exactly the same. Got the BB and RC, and a Fulltone Clyde, on my pedal board too Actually, just taken the BB off as I'm using just the GV and the Maz to get my OD sounds, and the RC to give it a good boost for solos, but love all the Xotic pedals ;D Cheers Pete

I really only use the OCD for low volume stuff. When playing with the band I use the Monza's Distortion. I havent used this setup with the band yet. This Friday will be the first.
So some things may or may not change. The settings on the OD pedals in the pick are for low volume practice at home.

A lot of guys up here like it. Cheers Pete ;D

Pete, if you do try the OCD, 18v works wonders to improve the tone it has already.(imho) tom

Pete, I was just not happy with the OCD before going up to 18v. What everyone was liking about this pedal wasn't happening in my case. But as soon as I went up in voltage - that changed and so now I'm running my OCD, RTO, and Fat Boost 3 at 18v - and it's really helped these three come alive. Hope your mileage is as good... t
