Last year, I bugged Will Ray about comming to Fla everytime he mentioned he was doing a clinic in another state. I also bugged my local G&L dealer to try to make it happen. This was a 6-8 month process and one day I was told that it would be on Nov. 15th. '07. Well, my buddy and I, we do a smokin duo, went in to the shop and slod the idea that we were G&L guys and here was a 2 song demo cd. Instantly we were asked if we were interested in opening the clinic. Hell yeah!!!! The date came. We smoked the Pipeline, Mr.Moto, Commanche, and a 6+ min instrumental version of INXS's Never Tea US Apart. It was a great night. Will Ray liked us, the store owner liked us, and the crowd which was 100% guitar players liked us. Will Ray asked if we would do the next Clinic {May}... The store owner says he got as many comments about us as Will. {C'mon, Will is a master guitar player} That was a god night. Took my Z-28 to a birthday jam a couple of weeks ago and when it was time for the birthday boy to play, I just dimed all the knobs and plugged him straight in. Many people there that night learned about the power of Dr. Z. Lots of complements - and it didn't bother me at all that I wasn't playing ! ! !
