I just got a Z-28 head from a Forum member (thanks again for a smooth transaction Jim). I'm still experimenting with the various volume\tone control settings but it is a wonderful sounding amp and quite different from my Maz Jr and Ghia. It is black with kind of a lavender\black grille cloth and a purple jewel light. I think there may still be a picture of it in Jim's ad in the Buy\Sell section. I've been playing it through a 1x12 closed back cab loaded with a 30 watt Weber 12F150-B and plan to try it through my 2x12 open back cab loaded with a 50 watt ceramic Blue Dog \ Silver Bell combo at some point.
My 2004 DRRI went on Craigslist this AM.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I used it with an old style 1x12 open back Z cab with a G12H30, sometimes with a Z open back 2x12 with G12H30's if I wanted to move a little more air. Glad the transaction worked out smoothly for us both!

Congrats on the Z-28! What kind of guitar(s) you got for it? 'Cause all of 'em will sound good ;D Left to right G&L ASAT Deluxe with Z-90's Gibson LP Std Gibson Lucille Gibson R6 LP G&L George Fullerton After I posted I realized how old the picture was so I took a new one last night and edited the post. I think it's always good to have a current gear picture, for insurance purposes if for no other reason.

Congrats on your new Z-28! I joined the Z-Natic Club about six months ago, with a used 2-10 Combo. I moved out of the EL-84 zone and into the 6V6 Stratosphere! Welcome.

Thanks for the pic. Love those L.P.s - they are sweeeeee-t! cheers always and hope you are diggin' the Z-28 ;D Thanks jmb27. I've been quite happy with my current stable and haven't had GAS for guitars in several years now but amps are a different story. For only having three knobs, the Z-28 has a steeper than expected learning curve. This is NOT a complaint!! ;D I've been messing around with it every evening since I got it and I'm still finding new and tasty settings. It took me all of two sessions with it to decide to put my DRRI up for sale.
