I'd love it if all cabs, or at least all combos came with them. They don't take up any extra space, and if you don't want to use them, you don't have to. But if you want to tilt your amp, they're right there. To me, it should be as standard as a volume knob...
Alas, my z28 doesn't have any. I can get 14" fender style legs a few places on the web. Anyone have tips for installing them?

Anyone have tips for installing them? Measure twice, drill once Also keep in mind that you will be taking away from the value of your amp by adding the tb legs...if that means anything to ya...

I made a set of tilt-back legs for my Peavey Delta Blues 1-15. I used 1/4" x 2" Aluminum bar stock.
You can often find the Fender(trademark symbol) legs on E-bay. There are different lengths. Just buy or build a set, and then hold them up against the amp while tilting it back., to determine where the pivot center should be. After you drill the mounting hole, install a bolt with a washer and a nylon stop nut, so you can keep it loose enought to tilt, but won't let it loosen by itself.
For the "stop" bolt, I used a fender(no trademark symbol) washer and a nylon spacer that lets the leg nest into a groove, and won't let it slide by the stop bolt. Again, a washer and nylon lock nut on the inside.
Mine have worked for years! I usually stack my Fender(trademark symbol) Acoustasonic Jr. acoustic amp on top of my Z-28, so I don't have the opportunity to tilt the Z back.
I'm sure you can hear the Z better tilted back. Good luck!

I use a Quick-Lok BS 313 amp stand for my 2x10 and 1x12 Z-cabinet it works great as it has teeth so it has many adjustable angles. However with the position of the speaker jack it has about 3 unuseable angles. I then set my head on the floor underneath the cabinet/amp stand. Unfortunately they don't make the stand any more. Another option is the Ultimate Amp Stand, looks kind of like a guitar stand and has 3 adjustable positions. It doesn't sit off the floor as much and is probably better for combos. You can see the Quick-Lok stand in the background.

Mesa used to make a GREAT product, the Kickstand, basically a hydraulic plunger with a clamp on top that would allow you to tilt combos amps to any angle you wanted. I had two that lasted a few years and finally just died, but if they ever came out with a higher quality version, it would kill. You'd toss it in the back of your amp or carry it in one hand on the way to your car in case anyone wanted to discuss relieving you of your gear during your load out...
