Being a lifelong Combo guy, I am considering a Z28 head (worried about the microphonic tendencies of the EF86).
If so, I would like to hear from any owners who use the Dr's 2X10 cab with the Z28. The good, the bad, and the ugly!
Also, I would likely use it "vertically", are there any issues with that?

I use a Z 2x10 with my Stang Ray. It does everything well, highs, mids, lows and very efficient. The reason I got interested in the 2x10 was because at Mass Street Music one day a guy wanted to listen to several different amps and he wanted me to play so he could just listen. One the rigs was a Z28 with the 2x10 cab. Everbody else liked the 4x10 cab, I did too but I preferred the 2x10. One time I tried turning it up on end. It's different but not as good. Thinner sounding.

What makes you think I don't? Notice there's no pictures of me on the forum. Too scarey, small children cry and pets whimper when they see me play!
