Last night I was recording some tracks with my old band (The Cowslingers) with Don Depew behind the board. Don works at Z so he asked me if there was an amp I wanted to try and he'd bring it in the studio. I have a MAZ 18 NR and a RT.66 (both of which I love) however I am very intrigued by the Monza (heard it first at Z Fest last year...blew me away) So Don brings in this Monza prototype (see attached pic) plugs it into a 2 x 12 cabinet...WOW is all I can say!
I had my 59' Gretsch hooked up with an MXR Carbon Copy, Fulltone SupaTrem and a KLON. You don't need overdrive pedals with this amp but the KLON just took it over the top. I am still grinning from ear to ear on the tones I was getting last night. I am almost tempted to sell my RT.66 for a Monza I dug it THAT much. So congrats Monza users on picking one bad arse amp (but you already knew that). See living in Cleveland does have it's benefits even though our baseball and football teams suck ;D

Love it. Mine's out for delivery TODAY. It's like Christmas, but with guitars and no fruitcake.

Too bad there aren't more retail outlets in Cleveland to test and buy the Dr's. products!
