Is there any difference between the Goldface Z-28 and the modern version? Just curious!

Yes!! The Doc only used the goldface on the best sounding Z's...& a green jewel.

I agree, but the best sounding ones have a purple jewel and gold face plate

And to REALLY extract the best tone out of the goldfaces you have to play left handed. ;D

Those gold face plates look just "so" cool!
If you want to play fast licks though, you gotta get a fiesta red Strat. The daphne and sonic blue ones tend to have "slower" necks on them. ;D ;D ;D

Well I can see right now that the volume knob position is totally wrong on Lefty's '28. ;D
