I finally got the cab done. It's loaded with 2x10 Ragin' Cajuns. I'm going to an outdoor jam the weekend after this coming. I can't wait to hear it in a band setting. Lotsa love for the "Z" baby! -SF

RC's are great speakers. What are the dimensions of the cab? Can you set it up on it's side as well?

Thanks for the Kudos...
The dimensions are 26x18x11 with a 6 3/8 opening. I guess all I would need to do is put four more feet on the side...and I could stand it up. I might just try it.

I find setting the cab up vertical is easier to hear sometimes.

Well I finally got to take the z28 out for a spin. I jammed with a bunch of old high school buddies at an outdoor pavilion. The z really cut through. I was playing some Hendrix stuff (purple Haze, Foxey Lady) using a DNA Smoky Fuzz with my Anderson Classic on the bridge pup...Using pedals, I was never able to get the volume on the z past noon. I had the bass about 10 oclock, the treble about 1 oclock, and then used my pedals to kick it up a notch. I was louder than both the other guitarist...didn't really want to be, but that's what it took to get some tone going...both the other amps were Fender reissues, a Deluxe and a Super Reverb.
The z really is a great platform for pedals....but I really need to get out and experiment more with the Z. I played a similar gig with my ghia, and it just didn't have the headroom I needed (it would have been fine but the other guitarist had his amp cranked up and pointing right at me.
I definitely liked the 2x10s with the head...awesome.
