I thought it would be cool to talk a bit about what scenarios each of us are using our Z-28's in (what type of venues, frequency, etc.) and post extensive photos of our entire set up (guitars, pedals, other FX, speakers, mics, etc.) and possibly some lives clips if you have the ability to do so. I will have mine up after this coming weekend.

My most frequent gigs nowadays are small to medium sized rooms playing country/rock/blues. I have a link to soundclips in my signature...most of which were originally posted in the sounds section with a little background info regarding settings. My pedal board now has an RC Booster, Bad Bob Booster and an AC Booster. I originally liked the RC Booster and ran it on all the time...which works great if you dont have to worry about volume...for lower volume situations, I got the AC Booster so I could kick it in and get overdrive at a lower volume. Then I got the Bad Bob...tons of clean boost available...it will probably become my "go to" boost pedal unless I need the EQ capabilities of the RC Booster.

Bluesy-rock-country punk-psychobilly stuff for me...oh hell, just about anything. Small to medium rooms...anything larger than that (rare, but it does happen) then I go to the Mazerati head. One or two 1x12 Z cabs, but usually just a single 1x12 with a Celestion Century. Don't have any gig or studio pics with this setup yet...I'll try to get some soon, though.
I routinely use a VS Route 66 comp/OD with it, as well as an old Boss DD-2 delay. At gig where I can really crank it, I'll leave the OD pedal out altogether. Don't need it at that point.

My gigs vary quite a bit, from small hole-in-the-walls, to corporate parties, to weddings, to outdoor stages with professional sound company reinforcement; but, the run of the mill frequent gigs are mainly small to medium clubs. The bands range from a three piece to a large Santana sized lineup, with percussionists and a horn player. The music varys from a standard biker bar rock/blues repetoire, to mellow easy listening older pop, to dance music. Musically, I cover a lot of ground! For small gigs I run through a Swart Atomic Tone, a Z-28, or a Germino Masonette, depending on the room, the music I anticipate playing, and what sort of mood I'm in. On larger gigs I run two of those in stereo, plus a THD 2x12 cabinet. I've got a pretty substantial lineup of guitars at home, but my "go to" guitars are a PRS irw McCarty with P-90s, a PRS Singlecut goldtop, a Grosh Strat & Tele, and a Tyler strat. I always have at least two guitars at a gig; even though I may only play one, it's reassuring to have a backup. On a small gig, I may only use a booster, either a Klon or a BB Preamp. On a larger gig, I have a board with one of those, a Keeley compressor, Fulltone DS-1 distortion, Clyde wah, Fulltone SupaTrem, and a Liquid Audio Chorus/Delay. I also use a Rotosphere for getting B3 sounds on gigs without a keyboard player. Kane

Hey guitrr, you certainly have some nice gear there. Love the Andy Summers colored Grosh strat! Not to mention those others!
If you get a minute I'd love to hear you opinion on the differences of the Massonette and Z28 as they are both 6v6 amps Cheers
