Well I have had my Z28 head a few weeks and lovin it. We start gigging next week and was wondering what ... if any "slip" covers you utilize with your Z28 Head.
I have seen the websites for the Studio Slips, Tuki Covers (though it may be a custom job for a Z28 head), and Custom Amp Covers, Inc. Since I also own the PA for my band ... I have a full ride and would prefer keeping my baby as clean as I can.
Cheers,
J.D.

I have the studio slips fully enclosed clamshell cases for head and zbest. I've used them several times, tough as nails and Susan is very pleasant to deal with at Studio Slips. Highly recommend. I don't think Dr.Z would let them link to his sight if they weren't as good as his amps.

I may have to try the Gator case. I actually just got one of their cases (GMIX-L 1224) for my Pedaltrain Jr that allows me to carry my Pedalboard (barely) and Airbrake in one case. It is designed for a mixer with EPS foam so I can actually stand on it. The other option I saw was store.amplifiercovers.com/products.html for a slipcover style product

+1 on Studio Slips. I've purchased 4 of them from Susan. Nice quality and good company.

Well I decided to go with the Kangaroo Cover with pockets. I liked the idea of a slipcover instead of a bag that I have to close-up. I have enough bags to open and close going to rehearsals or a gig. I will post some pics when it arrives in a couple of weeks. Note that if you order one make sure to take the measurements yourself as the measurements from the Dr. Z site include the height with the feet on the amp.

I think I prefer a slipcover too, but I don't think I'm terribly concerned about the ballistic padded nylon. I do all my own cartage, apt -> car -> studio -> car -> apt. I hope a gig comes soon....
Are you saying the measurements on the site are shy about an inch in height?

The height measurements on the site include the feet and with the slipcover they wanted the exact height withouth the feet since you don't want a slip cover to hang down below the feet. Yeah it is major $ for a slip cover, maybe I should have gone with the $25 one. But I heard my singer bang my head the other day on our way out of our rehearsal room.
