It seems like at least a few people are using Avatar 2x12 with their Z28. Mine was loaded with a v30 and a G12, but I blew my G12 So I ordered a Swamp Thing from Avatar. They are only $49!! Anyway, is anyone using this combo? Or is anyone using a Swamp Thing? What combos do you guys have in your Avatars, or any open back 2x12? I play mostly classic rock tones, kinda Pink Floydish stuff. Clean and distorted. Strats and LPs. Any speaker recomendations for an open back 2x12?

Swamp thang's are cool. More of an american tone, but nice. I had one for a short while. Honestly, I've been absolutely thrilled with my Southbay Scumback Speakers. I have a Avatar 2x12, a Ken's Cabs Pine 2x12, and my Z 1x12 all loaded with them. Mostly a mix if the H75/M75 speakers. Can't use anything else, these are the shizzle. www.southbayampworks.com

49 bucks is a steal for the Swamp Thang. I used one for awhile, loud with an enormous bottom...which your Z28 is fully capable of shaking. Like Mike said its flavored more American, while the similar Tonker is tweaked more British...so the combo of both could be interesting. BW just bought one, hey that should be a good enough endoresment! ;D
