hey im new to the board. ive been using an orange ad30h(single channel head) for years now and im thinking its time for a change. im leaning towards the route 66 but theres no dealer in my area. i play a lot of loud psychedlic-fuzzy type stuff and i was wondering if the route 66 could pull it off? how would it sound with a treble boost in front? sound clips?

I actually think the Route 66 handles fuzz better than any amp I've ever heard. Something about the voicing just works with fuzz. Maybe the ef86 front end helps too. Alot of people I know struggle with the gnarly top end fizz that a fuzz can generate. The round top end of the 66 just kinda evens it all out and generates great warm thick spitting fuzz. Great Fun! I have no problem whatsoever recommending the Route 66 as a base tone for fuzz freaks! It inhales 'em!

I agree with Tasweigan, I have played diferent fuzzez through other amps, without great results. Now I use a MJM london fuzz and a Fulltone Soul Bender through a RT66. They sound AWSOME! The 66 just suckes the pedal right into the amp.

I use the Fulltone 70 Fuzz with great results. I also agree with Tas..the 66 loves fuzz.

The RT66 takes fuzz better than ODS IMO.

Yepper,
I agree 100% with the Route 66 being able to handle fuzz like they were meant for eachother.
I'm using a Zvex Fuzz Factory, Fulltone Soulbender and a BYOC Ultimate Fuzz...
