resistance is futile ..... if that's one of them there Z open backs with 2 Celestion Blues, that's a really great rig. Have you played this rig yet?

My wallet is safe for now...it was the demo, but the auction ended early and it is no longer for sale. It was an open back cab...I think it had Greenbacks??
I am sad, but I would have to sell some guitars to get it...so I am in a way happy.

Hey Guys. I feel bad breaking the news to Lefty Lang but I'm now the hitched to that blonde rig. She's a looker and I'm hoping just as attractive when turned on and plugged in. The speaker cab is a 2x12 open back with celestion greenbacks.
This is a great forum and brotherhood of Z'ites. I asked for guidance about an amp purchase last week and the responses that came back were very helpful and guided me to a Route 66. I suspect an airbrake is next, then a Ghia head...
Thanks all and LeftyLang I'll be good to that blonde. Drew

Awesome Drewtunes, I glad you went with the Route 66. Great amp. If I had to get a new Z right now I would be hard pressed to choose between the Route 66 and the Delta 88. Here is some Karma for joining the Z family. Enjoy and let us know how it works out. I am sure you will be grinning from ear to ear when you fire it up for the first time. ;D

I REALLY LIKE the looks of that smaller RT 66 head box on the 2x12 cab.... seen most of em on Z-Bests sitting vertically which is cool too ( and more importantly sounds awesome).... but that 2x12 looks VERY NICE!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE MINE..er... um... I mean madison's... Thanks bill!!!!!! I think that set up will sound WONDERFUL and you'll get some break-up with the green backs earlier... I'm with arun..i'd LOVE a RT 66 but I'd have to give up my carmen ghia to get it.... so ...can't do it.... I saw that on the 'bay and put it in my ebay/ "watched" .... wanted to see what it went for.. glad it got a good home... Sweet Jason

drewtunes...looks like you want back to the 66 eh !! Hey LeftyL, Yup! It's an odd tale of going on a journey and ending back up at the same place, just wiser. And of course with more Z gear. The blondie 66 was my first Z and was one loud low end hammering tone machine. Now I knew the meaning of good tone from an amp. So, I started lusting after a Ghia for a lower volume amp. Got one via this forum, man is the ghia one sweet amp. I loved that el84 chime and breakup. So why not go for a louder el34 amp and Curt just happened to have a Maz sr. It was tough parting with blondie but I did. Then I'm thinking, this Sr is the beez kneez and my clean tones never sounded better. But, and there's always a butt, I didn't care for lifting the maz combo 3 to 4 times a week and wanted a separate head/cab. I had no luck with finding a head cab for el Sr, and I'm jones'in for that 66 tone again. I picked up a sweet looking goldface (interstate 66) and it sounds just as nice. Now the big decision is which amp do I take, Ghia or 66. Not to gloat but it's good to be me... and of course I still want a Z28, Maz Jr, Maz Sr head cab, Stangray, RX ES... ;D

Ronnie... make it happen man. The 66 is one of the best amps that I've owned Z or not. I mean every Z amp I have ever owned has been great but the 66 really speaks to me. Even more so than my SRZ.

I've been playing my tele (sort of - fender tele neck and p'ups) into the 66 lately. I've not played it in years. The 66 strat is my bread and butter, the tele's bread and jam. Ummm Umm good!
Hope the blondie deal happens for ya Ronnie.
