With the Route 66........which do you prefer? Why? For me it depends upon my mood because I think they both sound good through the Route 66! ;D The only difference is if I'm using my Les Paul... I just plug straight in and turn it up. If I'm using my strat I'll generally use an overdrive to get a fat lead tone.

I use both, Les Paul and a Strat. I use whichever one the song calls for. I use a lot of pedals for different levels of drive, Timmy, OCD, BB Pre-amp, RC Booster. This set up with the Route 66 works great. If I had to choose just one, would have to be the Strat. With the right pedal I can kind of get a Strat to sound like a Paul, sort of. I can't get a Les Paul to sound like a Strat.

......whats your setting with the BB rt 66 and les paul? I kinda cannot make my les paul/BB setup sound how I like it........seems to lose something......

It might be your pickups. Go to WCR: www.crcoils.com/You'll gain back some clairity and tightness with some Crossroads or Fillmores.
