My RXES is way cool! I'll be taking it out first time on Saturday, so I've been playing it a lot in the studio getting the rust dusted off the old fingers. I'm definitely going the A/B route with the Stingray and my 2x12 Golds. The thing is, I've got that setup in the studio, and I have all these other amps there, so I keep popping another amp in place of the Stingray and A/B between the RXES and all the other stuff. The RXES really has its own tone - very unique and very cool. I can't wait to see how it does in a live situation!

;D ;D
I like running mine A/B'd with the Maz SR, as well as I do the Ray... REALLY hard to choose between those three amps.

I hear ya benttop, after getting my RxES, I've been floored every time I play it. I've had it long enough to really put it through it's paces, and it never fails to impress. I can honestly say that this has become my favorite amp of all time, and I've owned quite a few. I've never had an amp that had such a unique voicing and sounded just as good clean, slightly driven, crunchy, or all out wailing. In other words, it's the only amp I've heard that you know exactly what it is when you hear it. It doesn't sound like a Marshall, it doesn't sound like a Vox, it sounds like a Dr. Z RxES. All this talk makes me wanna go hook it up and jam some more, so I'm off. Thanks Doc for building such a superb amp with a very unique voicing that responds to touch and everything else I throw at it like no other.

Same here. I've finally found my tone with the ES. I go to gigs and as soon as I hit a few chords, heads turn! It is such a great sounding amp. The 68 RI Les Paul and xotic RC clean boost help a bit too ... but that fat low end and thick mids are just mind boggling!
