Well, as some of you know I just got a StangRay head and cab last week and have been loving every minute of it. The only problem is when I went to my dealer to pick it up, I "accidentally" plugged into a RxES to jam while we waited for UPS to show up with my StangRay. Well, as it goes the GAS pains started to come back, even with a brand new StangRay coming home with me that same day. So I stewed on it all weekend, and decided I would call my dealer this morning to discuss getting a RxES. Needless to say, I got in on an order they have coming in and will have a new RxES head with 1x12 cab loaded with a C-Gold within a few weeks. Darn you Dr. Z! My wife's gonna kill me.

You're going to love RxEs and C-Gold.

Oooooohhhhh... Now you've done it. Your next question will be what A/B/Y boxes are great, and then you'll be asking what kind of SUV you need to haul all this stuff to the gig...

I have a ES combo w/ 2 Greens. Can somebody tell me what kind of difference I can expect if I switch to alni Golds- maybe just go to using 1 @8 ohms instead of the "twin" setup? Darker sound? I love Paisley's dark, thick sound he pulls out of his ES. Will this put me in the right direction. BTW the ES w/ Greens sounds awesome-I just want MORE!

Darn you Dr. Z! My wife's gonna kill me. Heads are easier to hide than combos.
