The soundclip for the Rx Extra Strength on the Z site that is played by Brad Paisley. Was there some article some where that talks about how he was blowing the Celestion Blues in that amp?
Also, is that clip played with Weber Alnico Blue and Silver speakers? If so, is he still using the Webers?

From what I understand, we was blowing Celestion Blues, but they are 15W speakers. The clips, I believe, are played with a 50W Weber Silver Bell & a 50W Weber Blue Dog. Both alnico. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

As I understand it, from someone who was in the room at the time- Brad DID NOT have the Blu/Silver Alni's in. He had stock Jensen Blues , just ike in a ac-30. And yeah, it took him all of 2 minutes to destroy those drivers. The Silver Bell/ Celestion Blue 50W combo was the SOLUTION they came up with. But he DIDn't blow those up. Those are pretty tough cones. And thy sound killer. Of course Paisley could fart into a 57 and somehow make it sound great...lol. "I LOOOOOVE MY ES" . I jst wish the good doc would make a master volme version that would tap into more of that fat, nasty ef-86 for overdrive- AS WELL as volume. Now THAT would be a Du##ble killer.Hint , hint mr. Z?

Doesn't the pic on the RxES page show the back of the cab with the Blue/Silver combo in there? We need the Doc to tell us for sure if those clips were recorded with the Silver/Blues (like in the pic) or the Jensen Blues that he eventually blew...?

I'm pretty sure it's the Weber Silver/blue since they have the same clip posted on their site too.

Well, everyone has a story and here's what I recall - and I'm sure that someone will chime in if I'm wrong . . .
BP got the prototype RxES at his home and really liked it.
He took it on the road and promptly blew the speakers - the powerful amp that it is.
So . . . He took a little side trip on his way to the next gig and stopped by the good Dr.'s shop. While there, they tweaked the amp a little more - while trying out speakers - and recorded the sound clips then.
Then again, I have been known to be a little wrong now and then.
If I am, I hope someone will correct me.
