i am a huge fan of matchless dc30's and older vox ac30's. i attended a show and one of the guitarists was playing an rx head and it sounded amazing. how is the tone similar...does the rx sound big cranked? medium volume? any help would be great...tone charateristics etc...i play in a rock band and want something that will sound crisp and big without all the gain of lead heads. thanks, -josh btw, i'm new here. please be nice haha

HUUUUUGE sound when cranked. I've cranked mine on the Lo input (which is where I usually plug in), and I get big, bold, and articulate note definition with some hair around the edges. It won't get into lead territory without the Overdose on, but it certainly can get to breakup stages with the volume past 5-6.

Got an early RXES due tomorrow so I'll get back to ya ;^)
BUT, meanwhile, and I quote; "something that will sound crisp and big without all the gain of lead heads'
That sums up the KT45 perfectly...............
